About Me

Karen LeadbeaterI studied for 5 years at the School of Homeopathy (www.homeopathyschool.com) in Devon, graduating in 1998. During the next few years I built a thriving practice in Bath, before relocating to West Devon in 2005, where I am now based. I offer consultations at clinics in Tavistock and Calstock. I have been a registered member of the Society of Homeopaths since 2000.

I regularly lecture at the School of Homeopathy, and supervise and mentor student homeopaths alongside my practice. I have also more recently begun supervising and mentoring for students on the international study programme.

My approach is collaborative, and focused on the individual. I understand that people seek out homeopathic treatment for a variety of reasons, and many find a dynamic and holistic approach to healthcare they have not encountered before. I believe that you are the greatest expert on your disease, and I take time to listen carefully to all your symptoms and concerns. In this way I aim to help you regain the best possible level of health, and restore your vitality and sense of well-being. I work with people of all ages with all kinds of health problems.

I am especially committed to supporting parents and children through pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and beyond. Since giving birth to my daughter 2 years ago I have been even more aware of the need for warm and non-judgmental professional support at this time, and this is what I endeavour to offer.

I chose to study homeopathy after I found myself suffering from a health problem in the late 1980’s from which I could find no relief. When eventually I was recommended to seek homeopathic help, I found that homeopathy quickly cured the condition, which has never returned. Subsequently, when I considered whether the symptoms of disease were evidence of intelligence or defect in the human body, I realised that homeopathy made sense. I decided to find out more, and began to study homeopathy in 1991.

In everyday practice I continue to be amazed and privileged to witness the miraculous healing ability of the human body and mind.
